45 min spin bike
2.5 mile run
30 min legs
Where were we???
Sorry about the break! I needed one.
I didn't die, have a midlife crisis (I am only 27 for crying out loud) or get deathly ill. Well.. I actually WAS sick along the way, but that is besides the point. ;)
I have a bad habit. Usually it's good but sometimes it can bite me in the behind. I am an ALL or nothing girl. I want to eat healthy healthy HEALTHY or I want to sit on the couch and eat candy all night. I want to run a marathon or not even call myself a runner. I want to be the best little blogger I can be or not even try. Ridiculous right? I know.
Basically blogging is TIME consuming! Who knew right? Totally kidding. Posting twice a day and trying to keep up with life in general amidst things that have been going on was getting to me. I was stressing out about things that didn't matter and I finally stopped and asked myself why I was letting myself get so wound up about it. I quit my job for crying out loud, I should feel like I am on vacation and loving having a lazy summer! I shouldn't be spending way to many hours in front of the computer when it is beautiful outside and all I really want to do is things like taking walks to the local craft store and chatting with the neighbors I see on the way. Randomly stopping by my friends houses and try get them to let me hold their chubby babies. Important stuff!
I realize it is all in my head. If there is something that I need to get done in a day, I have a hard time relaxing or being able to cut loose until I have done it. So with the in-law's moving in, lots of hair clients, me continuing to being exhausted all the time from the Candida Diet and getting sick... I had to let something slip. Sorry it had to be this!
Not to mention when you are tired like a grandma all the time, eating BORING food and having less than energetic workouts... you don't really feel like you have tons of exciting things to share.
I am glad to be posting again and going to make myself take a major CHILL PILL and not try to be such a perfectionist all the time. If I can't post one day because I get a last minute social invite to party it up, oh well! No worries!
(You might be thinking right now how TRULY nutz I am. I realize this... but I am still trying to convince myself a little bit even as I am writing this.)
Enough about that though, what have I been up to you ask? Well...
-Eating LOTS of this...
(Eggs, Broccoli Slaw and Sweet Peas)
-Shopping
-Crafting
-Sleeping
-Eating more of THIS...
(Catfish with broiled jicama and green peppers with celery on the side.)
-Cleaning
-Sleeping... did I say that already?
-And more of THIS...
(Green GREEN salad. Lettuce, celery, cilantro, green onions and a little jicama. Sprinkled with lemon juice and coconut oil.)
-And lastely drinking lots of this.
(Ginger Tea)
There were lots of other random things too like basically enjoying having no schedule whatsoever and finally starting to feel like I am on vacation like I SHOULD feel!
I will catch you up in the next while of all the randomness of the past week or so. I will warn you though, I have been getting questions about what I have been eating on this crazy diet and have about a bazillion pictures of plates full of greenery. I fully intend to post them all. Your welcome in advance. ;)
It's been 3 weeks on the Candida Diet. Can you believe that? Whew!
I will write an update on how it is going soon.
Missed you guys!

What have YOU been up too!!!
I am SO behind on reading anyone's blogs. Please forgive.
Do you ever feel like you need to check out of life for a little while?
Obviously yes, I think it is totally healthy though and you always come back feeling more refreshed!
HOLLEY!!!! I am so glad you are okay! Wow...I was definitely missing you between blog world and the gym I was just not getting enough Holley time in lately.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand though...sometimes you just need a break! And I am so glad you did what was best for you...I missed you of course but am glad you were resting and doing the things you WANT to do...so important. You deserve to enjoy yourself now that it is nice out and NO WORK! woo hoo!
I hope I can see you soon :)
I think we were all worried!! Glad to hear you are back in action. :)
ReplyDeleteWe almost stopped by your house after our blogger date today. :)
We all need a break now and then. Totally normal and totally acceptable.
Can't wait to hear all the updates!
Phew! I was wondering where you were. Glad you're still alive and kicking :)
ReplyDeleteAre you still racing on Saturday? I'm going to be in town and was going to do it but it is sold out!
Wow your food is looking very yummy and healthy. I don't think I have ever had jicama. Blogging is very time consuming!
ReplyDeleteYes, taking a break from time to time is a GOOD thing... nice to see you back!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel! It's definitely always needed to take a break from something, although I did miss your posts!
ReplyDeleteBtw you look super cute in your pic!
Things are slowly progressing in my life..starting a new job on Monday, getting back into workout mode after vacation..moving right along!

Glad you took a break! If blogging starts to feel like work it's not fun anymore. That being said...happy you're back!
ReplyDelete:)
I seriously just scrolled through my feed yesterday, making sure I hadn't somehow missed a post of yours! Glad you have you back - but TOTALLY understand needing a break!
ReplyDeleteI get really stressed out about my blogging because I feel like I'll lose readers if I don't update at least every 2 days and comment on 8 million blogs. It's starting to be really stressful. I'm glad you gave yourself a break and I hope you are feeling a little better!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you have to give certain things up for the more important things, right? Glad you're back. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlogging is ridiculously time consuming. I've considered giving it up before, but then I remembered how much I enjoy it, so I totally understand a break! Glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you are back. I was worried about you. I recently started my own blog and finding it to be much more time consuming than I expected. I can understand why a break may be needed every now and then.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you took a break and I totally am in the same boat. It's so much pressure and time to keep up with everyone blogs. I was just telling my husband today it's a vicious cycle. If I don't comment on people's blogs, they don't comment on mine, and if I don't get comments I feel like I should just make my blog private to only me cause it feels like no one cares...LOL - so don't be surprised one day if mine is gone. I contemplate it everyday - but I love the people I've met through the blogging world I would be lost without it!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad your back and can't wait for more posts about the food you are eating. Is this diet helping with your stomach issues?
Everything in moderation is good! Glad you were able to simmer down and destress by taking a break!! (;
ReplyDeleteBlogging can sort of take over can't it? It's hard to find a balance so you remember to enjoy life and not the computer. Hope the break was just what you needed.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way - totally all or nothing! I've been a bad blogger lately because I've been so busy. I always think summer means vacation and relaxing but summer is the busiest time! Anyway, glad you're back!
ReplyDeleteum I am SO behind on blogs... just got caught up with yours!!! YOU POOR THING!!! I am so so sorry you got injured and cant run UV :( but I LOVE your positive attitude and willingness to recover! you are a rock star. good for you, taking some time off! get better soon!!!
