Voila! Chicken Floretine Review

We were asked to participate in a Foodbuzz Tastemaker program with Birds Eye Voila!

The Voila! products are all about having easy meals that you can put together in 10 minutes. We set the timer for 10 minutes and we got to cooking.

Ben popped open the bag tossed it in a pan and added the sauce packet.

Then he was LITERALLY counting the minutes until it was done. He was starving!

To Ben's dismay, I think it took about 15 minutes. He survived the extra 5 minutes though and dinner was served!

What did we think?

Ben said it tasted pretty good for something to quickly grab out of the freezer and whip up. His main complaint was that the bag says it contains 3 serving, and clearly you can see it is ONE Ben sized serving. I admit, I would have eaten at LEAST 3/4 of the bag too. But maybe we are just pigs. :)

As the grocery buyer, when I went to pick up a bag with our free coupon, I was shocked to see how much the regular price was. Considering this was a one meal bag at our house (for 1 person), $8 a bag is a little crazy. We both agreed we would have rather gone out to eat for that much. :/

If you are on the go though, the $8 might be worth it to you. You decide!

Do you keep meals like this in your freezer for dinner on the fly?
We really don't. Ours is full of lean proteins and frozen veggies though! It is so much cheaper to just make your own! Not to mention... most the time a whole lot better. ;)
