What She Works - Breakdown of 95 min weight training session

FRIDAY'S WORKOUT:
45 min elliptical
1 hour spin class

TODAY'S WORKOUT:
95 mins weight training
8 min abs
15 mins stair climber

I had some questions about what I do in my long weight training sessions. Usually I break it up throughout the week more focusing on 2 or 3 muscle groups a day and then hitting cardio after. Just to switch things up I have been working everything on the same day, 3 times a week and the other days focusing on cardio. I by no means am endorsing this as the most effective way to train, I am just reporting what I did. I get bored if I do the same thing all the time, and I think your muscles do too, so for now this is been a fun change of pace. I will switch it up again soon once this starts to get old.

I preface my post with that comment because this is going to look insane when you read what I did today. Bear in mind, I know I am crazy but YOU asked, so here it goes.

For most of these exercises I did 3 sets of 8. I mix up some of the exercises a little each time swapping different ones out. Honestly I just do whatever sounds fun. :)

Chest Press
Chest Fly
Dumbbell Row
Dips off Bench
Push-ups
Jumping Lunges
Tricep Extension
Kettlebell Style Military Press with Squat
Seated Bicep Curl
Concentration Curl
Kettlebell Style Front Raise with Squat
(I say "kettlebell style" because I used dumbbells as my gym doesn't have kettles.)
Assisted Dips
Assisted Pull-ups
Lat Pulldown
Cable Standing Fly
Seated Row
One Arm Standing Crossover Cable Row

TRX Single leg squats
Squats with Dumbbells
Sissy Squats
Static Weighted Lunges

Barbell Preacher Curls
Barbell Skull Crushers

Barbell Clean and Press
Reverse Fly on Bench
Arnold Dumbbell Press

Hopefully this might help you think of some new exercises to add into your routine or ways you can switch up your workout. It is so easy to get stuck in your routine and after a while realize you aren't pushing yourself at all. I love to flip through  magazines and books, surf the web and get ideas from other people I see working out, to get new ideas.

Recent Eats of this AMAZING tuna salad.

It kinda just happened as I threw things into the bowl. Sometimes that is how you discover the best dishes. ;)

Rice noodle shells, tuna, spinach, red onion, peas, olives, olive juice, vegetable broth italian seasoning and s&p. SO yummy!
